SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED Q'S
WHAT IS RUNNING WITH FOXES?
The name Running With Foxes came about out of a play on the pangram “the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog”. It also seemed appropriate given we have an abundance of beautiful red foxes, the largest of the true fox, native to Upstate New York. The business was born in January 2012 on Etsy as a small side businesses while I raised my young son at home. Fine Art was originally my major in college, but I fell in love with the idea of working digitally to create a different kind of art. Now I have a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design and get to work with customers from all over the globe. Every custom project is a new and exciting challenge!
WHERE CAN I BUY YOUR DESIGNS?
Check out my shop page for links to all the sites I'm currently selling products on.
DO YOU TAKE CUSTOM ORDERS?
Always! Depending on availability, I am always accepting inquiries into custom orders. Consultations are free - just send me a note and we can talk about your ideas for a new project. Custom orders should be requested by email.
WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO GET IN TOUCH?
Communication is primarily done through e-mail at this time. You can also fill out the contact form here or send a convo through Etsy. I respond to all e-mails within 24 hours, not including the weekends.
Regular work schedule Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. I understand many of my customers live in other time zones, so I usually can be flexible when communicating off-hours when needed.
The majority of communication between myself (the designer) and the client takes place via email. I find its the best way for both parties to keep track of design requirements, requests, and potential changes to the design.
HOW LONG DO PROJECTS TAKE TO COMPLETE?
This can vary on a few different factors, like the project type, your availability to respond to communication, the availability of needed materials to be used within the project, and my current scheduling. Always message me in advance and I can let you know my current availability and an appropriate time frame. Rush orders may require an additional fee depending on notice.
WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT RATE AND WHAT PAYMENT TYPES ARE ACCEPTED?
All orders are accepted using PayPal or Etsy Payments which accept Visa, Master Card, and American Express. I also now accept Zelle. I currently set prices at a flat rate for à la carte orders, or as a package price for larger projects based on a $25/hr rate.
All projects must be paid in advance of project start. Orders exceeding a certain amount can be split into a 50/50 payment plan as needed (50% at the start, and 50% upon completion).
If after the project start date I do not receive communication from the client for 90 days and the project cannot be completed, I will cancel the sale and retain the rights to all materials, wherein the client will not be permitted to use them.
WHO OWNS THE FINISHED WORK?
All services provided by the designer shall be for exclusive use of the client - other than promotional use as part of my portfolio and/or service advertising. You, the client, have the rights to use the work for your brand identity and for commercial advertising via print or web use. Full ownership of the final design is granted to the client. In the event of project cancellation, see above.
When creating work for resale however, discussion must be made in advance of the project start. Some designs require the purchase/use of third party artwork and/or fonts, and may require an additional fee to those parties who created the original art to have the rights to use them as part of an ongoing product or packaging design.
Your personal or business information, outside of project materials used for my portfolio and/or advertising, will never be shared with a third party without your express permission. I reserve the right to use any completed project as part of my portfolio which is shared on social media and/or my websites - but will always respect any requests to keep a project private. Please communicate with me in advance if you will need privacy going forward with any design work. I do not store any payment or personal information here, or on a third party website, except in the case of invoices when paying through Etsy, PayPal, or other site where purchases are made.
Sometimes I may send out follow-up e-mails using MailChimp - my current e-mail service provider, but you may request to be removed from the list at any time, or be able to view what information is exactly stored on that service.
Any personal information you share with me in terms of a graphic design or web design project will stay confidential between myself as your designer and you as my client. I do not share the terms of quotes or payments received by customers with other customers, and I do not share any other project details other than the visibility of the finished work as included in my portfolio or other ways of marketing my services (ie. social media platforms, blog, etc.). When requesting I make purchases on your behalf, I will always only share necessary information with the specified company.
Don't hesitate to message me anytime with questions - I love hearing from you!
